Senior Matt McKeown named as a National Merit Scholarship Program Finalist.
The program is an academic competition beginning in 1955 to recognize and award scholarships to outstanding high school students. The students enter the competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). There were more than 1.5 million entries that tested in reading, math, and writing. From there about 16,000 students are selected as Semifinalists. From there the list reduces to 1,300 Finalists across the United States.
McKeown is senior class vice president and student council president and maintains a 4.1 GPA. He was awarded an academic and athletic scholarship to Harding University in Searcy and will play football for the Harding Bisons.

Matt, everyone is proud of all your accomplishments but I bet no one is more so than your parents. They’ve done an awesome job in raising you into such a fine young man.
